Voting in NYC
Image
All Barnard students who are U.S. citizens are eligible to register and vote in New York.
By choosing to do so, you can have a direct impact on local policies and leaders that affect your day-to-day life.
Your vote will help decide New York's Congressional and state representatives. The first step is registering to vote, which can be done online.
There are three ways to cast your ballot in the 2024 Election:
Early Voting
Early Voting begins 10 days before Election Day and ends on the Sunday before Election Day.
Vote by Mail
Starting this year, the New York Early Mail Voter Act allows all voters to vote early by mail. You don’t need to provide a reason to vote by mail anymore!
Vote on Election Day
All Barnard students who live on campus and are registered to vote in New York can access their polling site at Riverside Church. Polls are open on November 5 from 6am - 9pm.
